For me the solstice is also about being with the darkness, how ever uncomfortable if may be. To look within a little longer than i have allowed this past year and see what the darkness message is. Survivors guilt for one, sure, and a feeling of solidarity in the sadness. I want a safe place for me and those who are grieving deeply. And permission to do so.

Happy Sunday Starhawk. You’re one of the coolest Witches I know and that’s a fact. You’re so kind and thoughtful and intelligent and articulate and a legendary author. I know I may sound melodramatic so please forgive me if coming across as such but it’s heartfelt here. As a fan of yours since the 80’s your earthy and spiritual wisdom has only positively impacted my life. Here’s to a better world 🌎 here and now for all of us. Blessed be.

May the light eliminate the darkness in the hearts of so many, and fill our souls with love.

Wishing you a wonderful Solstice and a peaceful New Year, Starhawk. A nice rainy late December in Belize, for which I am grateful.

I hope you are well.

I have such beautiful memories of being there--not sure if I could manage it again but maybe after. knee replacement number 2 and a bunch of physical therapy I'd be able to get into one of those canoes again! So glad I went when I did!

I just discovered this song by Carsie Blanton recently (yes, I'm a bit slow!) I just found this group performing it and thought I'd share it. It's a great history lesson too! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=782pBuiPUCw

Oh, that's beautiful! Thanks, Patricia--I'll add it to our playlist for opening and ending classes!

I heard and watched Carsie sing this song on the Freedom Flotilla boat. She kept the music alive on the waves while sailing to Gaza to #BreakTheSiege. I really hope she got her guitar back since every personal item was confiscated when they were taken hostage.

This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.

May we all burn bright tonight and light up the night.

May the light reach everyone. I’m wanting you all to imagine 700 plus paddle boarders and swimmers making a great circle in the ocean, as the waters of Bondi Beach were opened again after the massacre, while others prayed on the beach. The circle was a symbol of encompassing care for all in shock and mourning and to spread the light intended to be re kindled at Hanukkah. Blessings to all from Aus.
