I've been saying for a few years that Trump followers are in a trauma bond with him. What we saw the other day was absolutely another example of him being abusive. If you've experienced it, you can't not see it. I felt it in my whole body as I was watching the it. I looked at Zelensky's eyes and knew exactly how he was feeling. Its disgusting and terrifying that this is who speaks for us on the world stage. Abuse never ends in happily ever after.

I posted this to my Notes on March 2nd: I just watched a video of Zelensky’s meeting at the White House and got PTSD from how similar the Americans were to former friends and lovers. They started out pleasant and then moved to attack. I’m not sure if it was planned but I remember being in that hot seat with anything I said being weaponized against me. Living on tiptoes is exhausting and demoralizing.
Thank you so much for writing this, Starhawk. I wholeheartedly agree. I believe many of us may be experiencing vicarious trauma from his hourly tantrums. We must continue to stand up to this unrelenting bully
Hello, Star. Your work has been a GIANT guidance for me over the years, especially "Dreaming the Dark". It leads me to wonder about something.
I think analyzing current events through the lens of conventional warfare is missing one giant point : Russia is a thermonuclear power. I know most people say that it's "false" and their nukes aren't useable anymore, and therefore the "collective West" shouldn't fear it. I for one think this is either wishful thinking, or a conspiracy theory, or worse : a lie.
Thank you for this great analysis. This situation, is where the United States should be very embarrassed as to who they elected as leaders. They're ignorance on diplomacy and the value of treating our allies with respect is astounding.
